Carole's workshops are aimed at people who want to 'loosen up' and be freer. Carole paints in such a way as to draw the viewer in, to let them decipher certain elements, and therefore, lots of detail need not be laboured over.... just a suggestion of what is there is often all that is needed, making the finished work more exciting, evocative and bold.

If there is not a viable number of students, workshops may be cancelled and payment returned. Should you cancel, a refund will be given less 50% of the course fee. It is regretted that no refund can be made in respect of bookings cancelled 30 days (or less) prior to the date of the workshop. The booking is non transferable.

Students travel from all over the UK and abroad for her workshopsr. There is a host of B&Bs and hotels near to Carole's studio, so please ask for details.

Carole returns for a fourth year to Watershed Studio. A warm welcome is extended to students at the rural studio that lies on the edge of the family farm in North Essex run by Allison Bond. Home- cooked farmhouse lunches form an important part of the day with students eating either in the conservatory or outside on the terrace, depending on the weather.
The 2-day workshop will concentrate on various techniques in acrylics helping you to loosen up and be more expressive, creating texture and interest... experimental and energising!!
The fee includes all tuition, refreshments and lunch.


PAINTING WITH FEELING

For splendid isolation in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, High Trenhouse is a converted upland farmstead with two self- contained buildings each with its own bedrooms, meeting rooms, dining room and bar.
This 4-day (4-night) painting holiday will encourage students to paint ‘en plein air’ in the form of sketches and finished paintings as well working from the studio. You will need to be fairly active as there will be some walking.
The fee includes - all tuition - exclusive use of the accommodation and all facilities - dedicated hospitality with superb food - dinner, bed and breakfast and a packed lunch each day - arriving after 5pm on Monday 14 August informal dinner and course overview with tutor Carole Baker, giving you the opportunity to meet your fellow students.

Yr Ocar is a tranquil retreat venue adjacent to the river with garden adjoining local woodland walks. Set in the Nant Francon Valley it is surrounded by many of Snowdonias's most visited mountains.
This 4-day (4-night) painting holiday has been designed to encourage students to paint 'en plein air' either in the form of sketches or finshed works. You will need to fit and active as there will be lots of walking and be prepared for all weather conditions.
There may be an opportunity to take part in some Dru Yoga sessions working on the mind, body and spirit.
The fee includes - all tuition - exclusive use of the accommodation and all facilities - dedicated hospitality with superb vegetarian food - dinner, bed and breakfast and a packed lunch each day - arriving after 5pm on Monday 9 October informal dinner and course overview with tutor Carole Baker, giving you the opportunity to meet your fellow students.
