My paintings are inspired by the ever-changing play of light on the landscape. Rather than simply recording a place, I seek to capture a feeling—an atmosphere—that invites the viewer to step in and bring their own experiences to the creative journey. Traveling and painting en plein air allows me to immerse myself in a location, distilling its essence through watercolour sketches and preliminary studies. Back in the studio, these become the springboard for bold, vibrant paintings where colour and energy take centre stage, transforming fleeting moments into expressive, dynamic works of art.

I’m thrilled to announce that Inspirational Jottings Volume 2 will be available within the next couple of months! This 68-page book is all about the joy of gathering source material, the process of sketching, and the stories behind my finished work.
As an artist, my travels, walks, and daily observations provide endless inspiration.
